Formulation and optimization of Fast Dissolving Tablets of Aceclofenac by Quality by Design approach
AUTHORS : Rupshika Kalita, Bhanu P Sahu DOI No. : NA DOI Link. : NA The purpose of this study was to develop fast dissolving tablet of Aceclofenac for effective treatment and management acute pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis using Quality by Design (QbD) approach. Use of superdisintegrants sodium starch glycolate (SSG) and cross carmellose sodium (Ac Di Sol) in suitable combination for fast dissolving was explored. A 32 Full factorial design using Design Expert Version 11 was employed to study the effect of the independent variables (concentration of SSG and Ac Di Sol) on the dependent variables (Disintegration Time, Drug Release). The relationship between the dependent and independent variables was further elucidated using contour plots and response surface plots.
